Dialogue Forum on “Engaging a Wider Stakeholdership in Enhancing Regional Peace and Security”

The Human Rights Resource Centre, with the support of the ASEAN Foundation, the Japan-ASEAN Solidarity Fund and the Bahá’í International Community, will be hosting a Dialogue Forum on “Introduction to ASEAN Community 2025: Engaging a Wider Stakeholdership in Enhancing Regional Peace and Security.”
 
This event is a follow-up activity from a two-day consultation (held on 26-27 May) with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) which aimed to explore potential engagement strategies of communities bound by different belief systems in implementing the ASEAN 2025 Blueprints. The two-day consultation brought together CSO actors and academics to learn about the concept of ASEAN One Community and explore the potential roles of spiritual-inspired groups to enhance each of the three pillars of ASEAN: Political-Security, Economic and Socio-Cultural. The result of this CSO consultation will be presented and discussed at the following time and venue:

The invited participants include the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN, ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation, the Chairpersons of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights, ASEAN Committee on the Implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers (ACMW) and the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and the Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) as well as the Secretary General of the ASEAN Secretariat and his Deputy Secretaries-General (DSGs).
