Understanding the Dynamics of Freedom of Religion in Cambodia and ASEAN

In January 2015, the Human Rights Resource Centre (HRRC) published “Keeping the Faith: A Study of Freedom of Thought, Conscience and Religion in ASEAN.” The 10-country report seeks to capture the legal landscape pertaining to freedom of religion or belief in the region.

The Law Faculty of Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia will host an event where key findings of the Cambodia country report will be presented. The forum will be held from 8:00 am to 12 noon on 5 February 2016 and will be hosted at:

The event will discuss the good practices in Cambodia that promote respect for and acceptance of different religions and beliefs. The forum will also explore the findings from other country reports in ASEAN, specifically Thailand as one of Cambodia’s closest neighbouring country.

Registration is free. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by 28 January 2016. To register, please email vidjia@puc.edu.kh, cc: O.Christina@hrrca.org.
